Late periods

Writer: Natalie ClarkeNatalie Clarke

A late period is generally caused by a late ovulation, as luteal phases are fairly consistent in their length. Knowing when you ovulate and your average range of days for your luteal phase can support you knowing your normal.

For me, stress and big events leading up to ovulation has often caused me to ovulate 2-3 days later than normal. And of course there is peri-menopause which changes my own normal.
