COVID-19 vaccine and cycle length changes

Writer: Caitlin PeirseCaitlin Peirse

Research led by Alison Edelman and published in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Journal found that data from 19,497 Natural Cycles tracking app users had temporary changes to their cycle length if they received the COVID-19 vaccination in the first half of their cycle (pre-ovulation) vs the second half (post-ovulation).

The findings aim to ease anxiety and reduce vaccine hesitancy by understanding how vaccine-induced immune responses may affect the hormonal signaling that controls cycle length.
